Competition Overview
In 2025, the Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC) launched the “Taiwan Individual Savings Account” (TISA) to encourage the public to develop long-term investment habits. To promote investment and financial education and cultivate financial literacy among Taiwan’s students, the College of FinTech, Ming Chuan University is hosting the “Ming Chuan FinTech Cup – ETF Simulated Trading Competition.”
This competition focuses on Taiwan stock market-listed ETFs, which are followed by over 12 million investors. By combining virtual trading with real market dynamics, we create an immersive, practical learning environment.
Participating teams will undergo a simulated trading challenge lasting nearly 16 weeks. Top performers will advance to the finals to present their strategies and share their results. We hope these outstanding teams will become catalysts for investment education in their schools, igniting interest in one school, connecting a network, and expanding across the board, thereby accelerating the dissemination and cultivation of ETF investment knowledge throughout campuses across Taiwan.
Eligibility
This competition is open to students currently enrolled in nationwide senior high schools/vocational high schools and Ming Chuan University, divided into two categories:
Nationwide Senior High School/Vocational High School Division
Ming Chuan University Division
Participation Method
Compete individually as a solo participant
Form a team with fellow students to conquer the investment arena together!
Team Formation Rules:
Each participant may only join one team (no multiple registrations)
Team size: 1 to 5 members per team
Build a compact yet powerful team to create the strongest ETF strategy squad!
Competition will be conducted separately for the two divisions
Competition Process
Upon registration completion, each team will receive a virtual investment amount of NT$10,000,000 as your starting capital for this financial challenge!
Participants will access the exclusive Taiwan ETF trading platform (App) to construct flexible portfolio strategies and build your customized ETF investment portfolio!
Daily settlement of returns and leaderboard updates to keep you informed of the competitive landscape!
Competition Awards
After nearly 16 weeks of intense simulated trading competition, participating teams will demonstrate strategic vision and asset allocation capabilities on the realistic platform, showcasing the investment prowess of the new generation! Following careful evaluation by a professional judging panel and final presentation performances, the ultimate winners will be announced! Winning teams must cooperate with the organizers to complete and provide relevant documentation.

1st Place: NT$60,000
2nd Place: NT$40,000
3rd Place: NT$20,000
Ming Chuan University Division
1st Place: NT$50,000
2nd Place: NT$30,000

Competition Schedule
Registration Period: Monday, August 18, 2025 to Friday, September 19, 2025 (12:00 PM deadline)
Orientation Session: Saturday, September 20, 2025, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM (online via video conference)
Trading Competition Period: September 22, 2025 to December 31, 2025
Announcement of Finalists: Monday, January 12, 2026
Finals & Award Ceremony: Tuesday, January 27, 2026 (detailed time and location will be notified to finalist teams separately)

This event aims to cultivate young students’ investment literacy and fintech application capabilities. All registration information will be used solely for competition purposes. The organizers will strictly maintain confidentiality and will not use the information for other purposes. Please feel free to complete the registration form with confidence.
Registration Instructions
One designated representative from each team should log into the competition registration system to complete the unified submission. Registration information can be modified and supplemented by logging into the system with your registered account and password before the deadline. Please pay attention to the relevant timeline.

Special Notice
The organizers reserve the final interpretation rights regarding the rules of this competition. Participants may not raise unreasonable objections to these rules. Violators will immediately and automatically forfeit their eligibility and may not participate in this competition and related activities.
