Ming Chuan University Hosts “FinTech Cup” ETF Simulated Trading Competition to Cultivate New Generation of Campus Investors
—————————-

  • To promote investment and financial education and cultivate financial literacy among Taiwan’s students, Ming Chuan University College of FinTech is hosting the “Ming Chuan FinTech Cup – ETF Simulated Trading Competition.” This competition strengthens students’ practical understanding and asset allocation thinking through simulated operations, with total prize money reaching NT$220,000. Registration is now open until September 19, inviting all Ming Chuan University students across all departments and high school/vocational school students nationwide to participate!

  • The competition is divided into the “National High School/Vocational School Division” and the “Ming Chuan University Division,” open to all high school/vocational school students nationwide and Ming Chuan University students. Participants will trade Taiwan Stock Exchange-listed ETFs, which are followed by over 12 million investors, using a virtual trading platform combined with real market conditions to create an immersive learning experience.

  • Each team will receive NT$10 million in virtual funds to operate on a dedicated ETF simulated trading platform. Participants must plan asset allocation and trading strategies while monitoring daily leaderboards. Through a 16-week simulated trading challenge that follows market fluctuations, top performers based on investment performance will advance to the finals to present their strategies and share their results.

  • The competition adopts a dual-track evaluation system of “quantitative performance + qualitative reports.” The quantitative component is based on total investment return rate, while the qualitative aspect focuses on ETF asset allocation strategy explanations. After the competition concludes, the system will select the top 10 teams from the National High School/Vocational School Division and the top 5 teams from the Ming Chuan University Division based on performance rankings, who will be invited to participate in the “Investment Strategy Presentation.” Professional judges will then comprehensively evaluate performance and presentation content to select the top three teams in each division for champion, runner-up, and third place honors.

  • Dean Lee Chin-Sheng of Ming Chuan University College of FinTech stated that since 2025, the Financial Supervisory Commission has launched the “Taiwan Individual Savings Account” (TISA), actively encouraging the public to develop long-term investment habits. By hosting this “ETF Simulated Trading Competition,” the college hopes to cultivate a new generation of investors with professional vision and perspective, accelerating the dissemination and establishment of ETF knowledge on campuses. Through simulated practical experience, the competition not only strengthens youth financial literacy but also builds psychological resilience in facing market challenges. Whether you are a newcomer exploring finance or an experienced investment expert, we sincerely invite you to participate in this battle of wisdom and strategy.

  • Competition registration closes at 12:00 PM on September 19. For detailed event information, please visit the official website “Ming Chuan FinTech Cup – ETF Simulated Trading Competition” at https://etf.mcoin.tw
